Caio is an award-winning researcher studying language and cognition from a behavior-analytic perspective. His work focuses on understanding how environmental variables can be arranged to establish effective communication, as well as cognitive (problem-solving) skills in children diagnosed with autism. His research has appeared in the top scientific journals in the field, and he has given invited talks all over the world. Although he dedicates most of his time being a Professor, Caio has been consulting for families, school districts, ABA agencies, and mentoring students towards certification, as well as practitioners for the past 15 years.
Danielle LaFrance has over 20 years of experience providing behavior-analytic intervention services to individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders across the life span. She has worked at all levels of intervention in a variety of settings such as clients’ homes, centers, day training programs, as well in the community. Over the course of the past 10 years, she has served two different agencies as a Director, overseeing all clinical aspects of ABA treatment and quality assurance. Danielle has mentored over 40 students towards BCBA certification and supervised many practicing behavior analysts over the years. She has won awards for her excellence in supervision, as well as her research in verbal behavior and is the current Chair of the Verbal Behavior Special Interest Group (VBSIG) of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
